  1. My favorite article is actually your editors note. It has been a brutally hot and dry summer, and with rare exception, I don't typically water or baby established native plants. This summer is an exception. Every morning I have had to go and spend an hour or so babying plants so that I have enough nectar sources. Seeing moths, and bees but very few butterflies. Hoping that the chelsea chop of many of the perennials enables enough nectar to fuel for the fall migration. Hoping for rain, The Thoughtful Gardener.

  2. What an inspiring issue! The July 2024 edition of Washington Gardener Magazine is packed with so much useful information for garden lovers. I especially enjoyed the deep dive into yarrow—it’s such a versatile plant and I’m excited to try growing it in my own garden. The tips on container peppers were also very timely, as I’ve been experimenting with growing them in small spaces. And the section on terrariums was a delightful read, offering creative ideas for indoor gardening. This magazine continues to be a fantastic resource for gardeners of all levels. Keep up the amazing work, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next issue! THEJEMBE
