This month the garden seems alive with passionate hot pinks and reds. I'm not a big fan of red in the garden, but somehow it was found a niche in mine. Here is a small selection of what is blooming in my garden on the Washington, DC/Silver Spring, MD border -- solid USDA zone 7.
I looked up the hardiness of your Hydrangea Cityline 'Berlin', it says zone 5. What kind of winter lows do you have? All my hydrangeas were killed by erratic cold spells a couple of years ago. It's pretty. Your Echinacea is really full and gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHI Hannah - Thanks for stopping by. We generally high mild zone 7/8 winters. If you get colder ones, you could keep hydrangeas in large pots and bring them into a garage or other area or just give extra protection with mulch and maybe wrap in burlap during winter.
